Drive through Montreal and follow the directions from there.

Either Decarie (Autoroute 15)
or Autoroute 20 will get you to the Autoroute 10 and the Pont Champlain
Bridge ("pont" means "bridge" in French).

About an hour's drive; more if you stop at a cafe!

Take the Pont Champlain Bridge.

Follow Autoroute 10 East (Est) towards the Eastern Townships.

Take Exit 74.

Turn left, and follow route Pierre-Laporte
(241) for 15 km (10 mi).

Turn in to the driveway of #167 Pierre-Laporte (red brick house).

If you have reached rue Principale, the Main street of Cowansville, it's just a bit too far!

Take I-87 or I-89 North to Quebec Autoroute 10.

From the United States (via I-91 through Vermont)

Take I-91 North to Quebec Autoroute 55.

Continue North for about half an hour to Autoroute 10.

Take Autoroute 10 West (Ouest) in the direction of Montreal.

Get off at Exit 74.

Turn right, and follow route Pierre-Laporte (241) for 15 km (10 mi).
